What is the other door? |
The Other Door (TOD) is a portal about confrontational situations. Think about your average normal day for a minute and you'll see that it is composed of (also) many confrontational situations. Each time you've converse with another in order to obtain certain goals you've want to achieve, you're engaged in a confrontational situation. The title might change from Negotiation to a difficult conversation, conflict or sales etc - in essence they all are the same. The identity of the other side may differ as well from one of your family members to a person from your professional life or someone from a group or a community you belong to. Again, it's still a confrontational situation regardless of the identity of the other side
What does 'The Other Door' stand for?
In one word: choice.
Confrontational situations are an environment that awakens our most fundamental patterns. When saying 'patterns' one doesn't mean personal traits but rather universal characteristics that define all humans, trap us, interfere with our sound judgment and turn us into irrational beings. In the apparent level it will be the raise in the emotional level, yet in order to 'catch the pattern by their horns' one should look deeper than what meets the eye.
The material in TOD tries to do that - look at things as they are and offer you both the understanding and the 'know how' in order to better manage any daily confrontational situation.
The material in TheOtherDoor portal is based on Asaf Shani's intensive international experience. Working with tens of thousands all over the world made Asaf notice these patterns and based on that offer new perceptions, tactics, methodologies and tricks to cope with any confrontational situation.
One of the more important insights Asaf offers in TheOtherDoor portal is, is that anyone can develop skill in conflict management and negotiation. The thousands of workshops he delivered worldwide have proved it again and again.
What (and how) can TheOtherDoor do for you?
In a simple sentence: make you a better person.
Indeed, this sound like a quite big promise and yet, think how would your life will change if you'll improve your conflict resolution abilities - how will your family life or your career will look like? Think about the calmness you'll feel inside after increasing your confrontational ability that difficult conversations, feedback or evaluation sessions won't be as challenging as they might be now. Think about the money you'll earn/save by bettering your negotiation abilities.
As said earlier, our life consists of so many confrontational situations that increasing these abilities, if only a little, will have a dramatic positive affect on you life.
That's what TOD offers you.
